HADIS STUDIES IN KUANTAN, PAHANG MOSQUES: A PRELIMINARY OVERVIEW

Abstract

The study of the Quran is very popular among the Muslim Community in Kuantan because of its importance in understanding the meaning contained in the Quran. However, Hadith also plays an important role in understanding the knowledge and the meaning contained in the Quran. This is because Hadith also is one of the main sources in Islam alongside with the Quran. Therefore, the purpose of this research being conducted was to see if the study of Hadith being exposed to Muslim community in Kuantan in the same way as other Quranic studies as well as revealing the role and importance of having a knowledge regards to the Hadith. The method used in this research was based on the field studies. The results from the study conducted among Muslim community in Kuantan shown that they have been exposed to the study of Hadith, be it adults, teenagers, and even kids.
