THE CONCEPT OF HONORING NEW BROTHERS IN ISLAM: CHALLENGES AND APPROACHES IN PAHANG

Abstract

The current era of 4.0 education presents a new challenge to Muslims to appreciate and understand Islam according to the law of revelation. The example of the revered Prophet Muhammad SAW is an example that should be followed by Islamic preachers throughout the ages. New converts or Muallaf are those who need to be courted to attract their interest in appreciating and practicing the teachings of Islam. However, nowadays there are some constraints in the appreciation of Islam to new converts such as different cultural factors, mass media and problems from the individual himself. This study aims to find out the method of approach in courting new Muslim converts in Pahang. This is because Islam has the value of da'wah through the high example of the Qur'an and Sunnah. In addition, this study will also examine the current issues and challenges faced by new converts in Pahang to appreciate Islam well. This study is a fully qualitative study that uses a literature review of the sources of articles, books and related documents. The findings of this study will help preachers to carry out their responsibilities according to the appropriate Islamic approach to new converts in line with the demands of the Quran and Sunnah.
